Tendo o primeiro desafio no estadual marcado para o próximo dia 27, diante do São José, Copetti ainda analisou a importância deste confronto não apenas para o Guarany, mas também para o futebol regional:

– Acho que será um jogo histórico. Após anos, ver essa camisa do alvirrubro entrando em campo para o gauchão, causará uma satisfação enorme na torcida e em nós que hoje fazemos parte do clube. Será um jogo difícil.

• WHAT HAPPENED?

  According to , Chelsea and Napoli are conducting due diligence on Garnacho’s attitude. Questions about his demeanour have surfaced following comments by United captain Bruno Fernandes, who previously criticised Garnacho's attitude and suggested that the winger’s muted goal celebration against Leicester stemmed from feeling unsupported by fans. He was under further scrutiny when Ruben Amorim omitted him from the starting lineup in the Manchester derby last month. Additionally, reports of a disagreement with the manager during a Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen have fueled concerns about his behaviour.

  Napoli are reportedly keen on Garnacho as a potential replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who is expected to depart for around £60m ($73m) to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain. However, they are also exploring alternative options, including Borussia Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi and Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel. Chelsea, too, have Garnacho on their shortlist of attacking targets this month, alongside Jamie Gittens of Dortmund and Tel. Dortmund’s Adeyemi has also emerged as a potential late loan option should other negotiations fail to materialise.

  Despite the interest, United have shown no inclination to sell Garnacho this January. The club has reiterated that they remain committed to retaining him unless a deal meets their strict valuation.   As the January transfer window unfolds, Garnacho’s future remains uncertain. However, Newcastle will be no easy customers, and go into their clash with Spurs on an identical run of form – having drawn one and won one of their opening two Premier League matches of the campaign.

"Tottenham have been very good," said Howe on Spurs.

"They continue to be a team I like to watch, a very attractive style, fluid. They have recruited well and signed some really talented players. They were good last year, but I think they will be even better this year. I think we always have entertaining games against them. For us, we need to make sure we get on top of the details."

Tottenham sealed a deal for the "predatory" Solanke during the summer transfer window, while also completing moves for English sensation Archie Gray, winger Wilson Odobert from Burnley, and Timo Werner on a season-long loan from RB Leipzig.

Unfortunately for Postecoglou, his star striker signing in Solanke picked up an ankle problem away to Leicester City, sidelining him for the win over Everton.

Richarlison out for weeks after Tottenham training injury

Solanke will not be available for their trip to Newcastle either, and there is more bad news, with £60 million striker Richarlison also unavailable.

According to Postecoglou, speaking in a pre-match press conference, Richarlison will be out for weeks after picking up an injury in Tottenham training.

"Dom is close, but we're going to be a bit cautious with him," said Postecoglou.

"We've got a big programme post the international break, so he'll miss out on Sunday. The only other one we got midweek is Richarlison, who unfortunately picked up an injury in training, so he'll probably miss the next few weeks."

There is some good news, though, with midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur passed fit and ready to play after being knocked unconscious during a clash of heads at the King Power a fortnight ago.

"Rodrigo is all good, he's passed all the protocols we need to, and more importantly he feels really good and the medical team are really comfortable with him being available for Sunday."

Pep Guardiola insisted that he won't "give up" on Manchester City as he takes on the "biggest test" amid disastrous results.

“Yes, I will try. I will keep going," he told reporters. "Sometimes you think it will be earlier or easier to fix it, and others it takes more time. I will not give up. I want to be here, I want to do it and with the situation we have I have to do it.

“Now we go to Leicester, a place it has always been difficult to get good results, and with the players we have available that is what I will try.”

Ceni assumiu o Fortaleza em 2017, quando o time disputava a segunda divisão. Já Guto Ferreira foi contratado pelo Ceará em 2020, ficando no cargo até 2021. Pelo Vozão, Guto conquistou a Copa do Nordeste de 2020 e fazendo boa campanha no Brasileiro. O técnico foi demitido do Ceará quando o time estava na nona posição. O que pesou para sua demissão foi o futebol apresentado e a eliminação para o rival Fortaleza na Copa do Brasil.

Enquanto treinadores no futebol cearense, Ceni e Guto se enfrentaram cinco vezes, três pelo Campeonato Cearense, uma pela Copa do Nordeste e uma pelo Campeonato Brasileiro. Neste período, foram três vitórias de Rogério Ceni e duas de Guto Ferreira.
