It had been reported in Spain that the Reds were in advanced talks to sign Sanches in January with Jurgen Klopp identifying the Portuguese star as an ideal replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, but a move never materialised.

Although Klopp and his players will be directing their full attention to the Premier League title race, there is no doubt that potential signings are being worked on and identified behind the scenes ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Merseyside outfit are neck-and-neck with Manchester City in the race for the title, with the Reds just one point behind Pep Guardiola’s men with four matches to go.

Naturally, winning the title will boost Liverpool’s chances of luring targets to Anfield over the summer, although, the colossal scale of the English juggernaut will make them an appealing prospect to any potential suitors.

After the aforementioned quartet, Liverpool have Curtis Jones, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Naby Keita in their roster, with only Keita managing to surpass 30 appearances for the season.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is another whose current deal at Anfield is approaching the latter stages, with the Englishman’s contract set to expire next summer and therefore the Reds could be tempted to cash in on the 28-year-old in the upcoming window.

In Ligue 1, Sanches has averaged a 7.14/10 rating this term, a higher league rating than any of Jones (6.93), Oxlade-Chamberlain (6.86) and Keita (7.12).

Therefore, there is no doubt that the 24-year-old would’ve added quality to Liverpool’s midfield depth, something that will be essential if the Reds are to repeat this season’s colossal effort of winning the League Cup whilst reaching the FA Cup final, looking set to reach the Champions League final as well as being a hair-width away from first place in the Premier League.

Missing out on Sanches is certainly a setback and will leave Klopp fuming.

وأردف: “تقنية الفيديو لا تتعطل إلا في مباريات الأهلي فقط (واضح إنها متظبطة)”.

Diogo Vitor, um garoto de 21 anos, recém-promovido das divisões de base do Santos, e Fabrício, exatamente dez anos mais velho do que ele, um veterano em tempo de bola e em confusões, vestiram as sandálias da humildade e ganharam destaque na mídia e nas redes sociais.

Idade não é sinal de amadurecimento. Ou de respeito. Diogo Vitor, apesar de jovem – ou talvez por isso mesmo, movido pelo ímpeto dos que querem resolver tudo de uma vez e fazer a história – mostrou uma determinação de veterano ao se colocar como um dos batedores de pênalti do Santos na semifinal contra o Palmeiras. Num momento, como se sabe, em que muito jogador cascudo se faz de morto para fugir da responsabilidade. Só isso já seria digno de elogios. Mas o moleque foi lá, cobrou e… perdeu.

Diogo chorou, saiu desolado. Mas não jogou a toalha. No dia seguinte, foi às redes sociais, reconheceu o erro e sua parcela de culpa na eliminação do Peixe, num post dirigido ao torcedor. “Hoje estou vindo aqui me desculpar pelo meu grande erro. E também venho agradecer o apoio de toda a torcida (…) no pior momento da minha carreira. Pego esse erro como aprendizado e não vou abaixar a cabeça. Obrigado a todos os torcedores santistas e a todos que vem me apoiando”. Diogo fez o que muito figurão consagrado não tem a coragem e a hombridade de fazer. Não botou a culpa na bola, num escorregão, no cansaço. Errou e ponto final. Recebeu o apoio dos companheiros e também do técnico. Em entrevista coletiva, Jair Ventura afirmou que “quando um erra, erram todos”. Simples assim.

Já no Maracanã, depois da épica virada do Vasco de Zé Ricardo sobre o Fluminense de Abel Braga, podia-se esperar de tudo do autor do gol salvador, o polêmico Fabrício. Por muitos lugares por onde passou – do início da carreira no Monte Azul, no interior paulista, a Portuguesa, Internacional, Cruzeiro, Palmeiras e Atlético-PR – esse cara arrumou encrencas. A maior delas em um dia da mentira, em 1º de abril de 2015, quando, vaiado numa partida do Inter contra o Ypiranga, no Beira-Rio, irritou-se com a torcida Colorada, largou a bola de lado e, verdadeiramente descontrolado, se dirigiu à arquibancada com gestos obscenos, tirou a camisa, a jogou no gramado e acabou expulso pelo juiz. Foi suspenso por cinco dias e logo em seguida afastado definitivamente pelo clube.

O jogo de quinta poderia ter seguido o mesmo roteiro. Fabrício – hoje praticamente o terceiro reserva da lateral-esquerda no limitado elenco do Vasco – também vinha sendo insistentemente vaiado pelo torcedor do próprio time a cada vez que tocava na bola. Mas sua resposta dessa vez foi outra, o gran finale não foi um ataque de nervos, mas um chute cruzado, quase sem ângulo, que venceu o goleiro Júlio César e selou a virada histórica já aos 50 minutos do segundo tempo.

Ainda mais surpreendente do que ter se tornado o herói improvável da classificação vascaína para as finais, foi a reação lúcida de Fabrício após o jogo. Com o filho pequeno no colo, o jogador desabafou. Deu até razão à insatisfação da torcida com ele, ainda que não concordasse com a forma como foi vaiado. E não usou de meias palavras:

“A gente trabalha a semana inteira, às vezes não sai do jeito que a gente quer. Amassei a bola hoje. Errei dois lances, e a torcida pegou no meu pé. Posso jogar mal o jogo todo, mas enquanto o juiz não acabar o jogo tem que incentivar o cara. Vaia depois que acaba. Não estava jogando bem o jogo inteiro. Amassei a bola, não joguei nada, mas joguei pelos meus companheiros e pude fazer o gol. Eu sei que estava mal no jogo, mas vontade, garra e determinação não podem faltar dentro de mim. O grupo está de parabéns”.

Seeing those things on TV is pretty shocking,” Chris Tremlett said. “The England team have been fully behind it.
