Yorkshire gained a measure of revenge for two one-day defeats at the hands of Derbyshire this season with an eight-wicket victory in the Friends Life t20.Ben Sanderson took 4 for 21 in only his second game of the summer to restrict Derbyshire to 127 for seven, with Martin Guptill top scoring with 46 off 39 balls. Derbyshire never looked like defending that total and Adam Lyth hit an unbeaten 41 off 32 balls to see Yorkshire home with two overs to spare.Although both teams had failed to qualify for the quarter-finals, there was a crowd of around 2,000 to see whether Derbyshire could complete a hat-trick of wins over Yorkshire, but they were pegged back by tight seam bowling.Guptill needed a runner towards the end of his innings and was one of four wickets that fell in eight balls as the Falcons tried in vain to break free. Sanderson and Rich Pyrah did the damage and denied Derbyshire the acceleration they needed to set a challenging target after Guptill and Wayne Madsen had established a platform.The pair rebuilt the innings after the early loss of Wes Durston and Greg Smith, with Guptill straight-driving Sanderson for six and Madsen reverse-pulling David Wainwright over the deep square leg boundary.But after adding 58 in 10 overs, both fell to consecutive balls from Pyrah and then Sanderson also struck twice when he had Chesney Hughes caught behind and bowled Jon Clare first ball.Sanderson bowled the big-hitting Ross Whiteley and although Alex Hughes marked his first-team debut by hitting him back over his head for four, the Falcons managed only 34 off the last five overs.Yorkshire were clearly in no mood to hang about with Andrew Gale taking 18 from a Mark Turner over and the visitors had passed 50 in the sixth over before Gayle was lbw to Whiteley for 30 off 22 balls.At least Derbyshire did not allow Yorkshire to romp away, but they needed to take wickets to put Carnegie under pressure and they did not break through again until it was too late. Joe Sayers had scored 43 off 38 balls when he tried to work Chesney Hughes into the leg side and was lbw.And although Steffan Jones sowed a few seeds of doubt by conceding one run off the 16th over, Lyth made sure there were no slip-ups. He hit Jones for four boundaries in the 18th over to seal victory and condemn the veteran seamer to defeat on his last t20 appearance before he retires at the end of the season.

However, Dilshan is still hopeful of being available for the one Twenty20 international and five ODIs.The pair had recent success against England, having guided Sri Lanka to a 10-wicket victory in the World Cup quarter-final when they added an unbeaten 231. He lost partners at regular intervals including skipper Alviro Petersen, who had his off stump pegged back by David Payne, and Jim Allenby, who was adjudged leg before reverse sweeping off spinner Jack Taylor.Glamorgan then lost Stewart Walters (4) and Ben Wright (9) as they were both caught at midwicket. But an attacking innings from Graham Wagg, who scored 22 from 23 balls, helped Glamorgan towards their target before being the victim of a brilliant catch by Kevin O’Brien. Ervine had been named in both the preliminary and finalised squads for Zimbabwe’s World Cup campaign but pulled out weeks before the event and committed to Hampshire.Ervine, who was initially confident that a return to Zimbabwe was the right choice, suggested that the change of heart came after his consideration of the financial problems that remain in Zimbabwean cricket and the added security provided by a county contract.”Zimbabwe told me they wanted me to go back out there and play,” Ervine told . “We went through a few negotiations and talks but I wanted to speak to Rod (Bransgrove) and Chalky (Giles White) personally before anything went ahead. But Zimbabwe went ahead and just announced I would be in the World Cup squad. When I got to the Caribbean, I was probably 100 percent confident I would go with Zimbabwe. But then there were a few issues and I knew it would be a wrong decision if I made it.”It was either me going to play for Zimbabwe, which is a risk, or carry on playing for Hampshire, which is a security thing. It was hard but it was pretty clear in the end. Watching the guys play in the World Cup, I was a bit disappointed I wasn’t there but I knew that afterwards some of the problems would start.”While Zimbabwe Cricket has made positive strides in recent years, most notably with the return of Alistair Campbell, Heath Streak and Grant Flower to coaching and administrative positions, the contracting of Alan Butcher as national coach, and the return of several players to a revamped domestic system, Ervine suggested that certain problems continued and that he may have had “a lucky escape” in his decision to forego an international comeback.”All of the players are being cut 60 percent of their salary because Zimbabwe Cricket have got no money – that’s a big thing. أصدر نادي تشيلسي بيانًا رسميًا فيما يتعلق بمدة غياب لاعب الفريق ريس جيمس، بعد إصابته في مباراة الأمس ضد بورنموث.

وتلاقى الفريقان في إطار منافسات الجولة السابعة عشر من الدوري الإنجليزي، حيث فاز تشيلسي بهدفين دون رد.

ولم يتمكن ريس جيمس من استكمال المباراة حيث اضطر إلى الخروج في الدقيقة 53، بسبب إصابة في الركبة.

وحسب البيان الرسمي لنادي تشيلسي، فإن نتائج الفحص أكدت وجود انتكاسة للاعب صاحب الـ23 عامًا.

Rayner, 25, will join the squad when he returns from the MCC tour of Namibia in early March, and will take a full part in the club’s pre-season preparations.”Ollie will be a welcome addition to Middlesex’s cricket staff for the start of the 2011 season,” said the club’s Director of Cricket, Angus Fraser. “He is a talented young cricketer with an excellent work ethic who is improving with each season.”Rayner will be available for selection for the first four rounds of the County Championship, as well as five CB40 matches. The loan agreement will then be reviewed in mid-May prior to England’s international commitments.The departure of Shaun Udal left Middlesex needing to strengthen its spin bowling resources, and Rayner fitted the bill, having taken 18 first-class wickets at 22 in 2010. He is capable with the bat – he averaged 32 in 2010 – and is an excellent fielder, especially at slip.
